Meet Winn!!! An adorable 3 1/2 week North Ogden Baby.

Winn is such a cute little baby. This was our first time photographing a newborn. Elise and I quickly learned that we not only love taking newborn portraits, but that it can be difficult with a fussy child. The day of the shoot Winn, she decided to show off her awesome skills at staying awake. When we first arrived Winn had just been feed. Normally she zonks right out after a meal. We quickly started trying different things to get her to dream land. Babies love warmth. The room we were in was in the higher 70′s so we Winn on an electric blanket. She looked mighty comfortable but, still would not fall asleep.
2 1/2 hours
Needless to say, after 2 1/2 hours of trying I think Winn slept a total of 10-15mins. Our total actual shooting time….. maybe 25 mins which includes moving her into position. I got about 15 images of her. The rest of the images were of her squirming or… crying. Please don’t think that Elise or I are complaining. Maybe its because we have a baby coming in the next few weeks… or maybe its because we see a future in photographing little ones. One thing I am sure about, we LOVED doing this shoot. Elise even said after leaving Winn’s home, Elise wants to pursue this type of photography. I agreed with her. So if you know someone that is pregnant please pass the word along!
